I saw this fish at the market and thought I would give it a try. It is a very nicelight tasting white fish and the leeks and lemon juice give it just the right amount 
of flavour without it overpowering the fish.

this link.  The short story is that this is what Noah's people ate on the ark, they only had nuts and grains
and dried fruits to eat and they put that all together to form a 'pudding'.  It's a very different dessert and it takes some time to prepare, but worth the time!

Found a recipe online that used dates instead of butter or oil as a fat in a chocolate cake, so I decided to use that idea and make up my own two-layer cake! It is a rich, dense cake but doesn't feel very heavy when you eat it!

1/2 cup Bran buds, processed into a powder
1 Egg
Salt &amp; pepper


Make sure the bran buds are processed into a fine powder as this is what will be the coating. Dip the Tilapia fillets into the beaten egg and then dip into the bran to coat
evenly. Place on a greased pan and place into a preheated 400 F oven. Bake for 15 mins, until crispy.

Serve with Orzo or rice

This recipe came about from my craving rum-balls, but since I do not drink anymore, I thought up this alternative that tastes quite similar! If you like you can substitute the maple syrup for the rum. You can also roll them in powdered sugar or cocoa for something different!

3/4 Butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp instant coffee

1/2 cup melted cream cheese

1/3 cup feta cheese (crumbled)
1/2 cup mixed vegetables (frozen)
1 medium red pepper
1/2 cup milk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Whisk the eggs well until foamy. Add the feta cheese, onions, peppers, mixed vegetables and milk. Pour into a greased pie plate. Place the pie plate onto a baking sheet and bake for 40-50 minutes until the center is not runny.

and looks like a cross between rice and couscous.
Has a nutty kind of flavour and it is a welcome
change to rice. Serve it with anything that you would
use rice with.

Peel the Beet &amp; Carrots and grate into a container. Slice the leeks thinly. Heat oil in a pan and

450 gr Package of Pasta (any kind - I like
the rotini or bowties)
2 Eggs whisked well
50 gr Cheese shredded (White cheddar or any
other hard white cheese)
Salt

Bring to a boil the salted water and place the pasta to cook according to package
directions. Drain and put back on the heat. Make sure the pasta is very hot, then add slowly the egg mixture, stirring well after it has been added. Plum jam is very popular in Hungarian cooking,
they use it in cookies/pastries. The jam is more
of a thick consistency, like a marmalade. Often it
is called 'butter' because it is so thick.
This thicker jam is preferred because it will not
leak out of the pastries. Two of my favourite
pastries are Plum dumplings Szilvás gombócand white cookies, Fehér Kifli

4 Apples (any kind)
2 Pears
10-15 Dried apricots
1/2 cup Raisins
6-7 pcs Prunes
Half jar of Sour cherries
(must be from the Jar not canned)
1 litre water
3-4 cloves
1/2 cup sugar

Peel and core the apples, core the pears and slice everything. Ok so this is one of my favourites of Hungarian cooking!
This is one of those recipes that I would not 'reform' too much
but I have recently found from another wonderful blogger, a great
recipe that imitates the Hungarian Pogácsa. I have modified

4 Pcs of Turkey sausage (or any kind you like)
2 Large peppers (Red, Green, or cubanella peppers)

1 Large Leek
2 tbsp Olive oil
6 cups Water

1/2 cup Bran flakes
2 tsp Baking Powder
1 cup Orange Juice
3 tbsp Apple sauce
